The Hines Herald has taken an almost two year hiatus from entering the blog-world, mainly brought on by some technical issues, followed by life. But, we would like to hop back in by introducing some of the great changes that have happened over the past two years.
The greatest of these changes is the addition of our two lovely daughters. Katelyn Jane was born May 10, 2008. She is almost 22 months and surprising us everyday by her ever expanding vocabulary. She has been a GREAT big sister to her lil' sis, Claire Noelle. Claire was born December 21, 2009. She is just over 2 months and proving to be following in her sisters footsteps. They were both 9 lb. 2.3 oz. (yes, both of them were exactly the same size even down to 2.3 oz!!) Amazing! They have both been in the 90 + percentile in height and weight. Despite their physical development, our hearts desire and prayer for these two precious lives is that they would turn their hearts to Christ at an early age.
Another major change from the last post is our new home. We sold our home in Chesapeake, VA and moved to Williamsburg, VA to be closer to our church family. We've been helping with a "church plant" in this area for almost five years. We've been traveling an hour each way to help this ministry until last year when we made the move. Don is still working full-time as a Electronic Security Technician, but his true love (other than being the best husband and daddy) is fulfilling the role of being the Outreach Leader here in Williamsburg.
